My 11 month old has only 2 teeth and has been on purées

I am nervous to give solid foods because he has only one tooth and another slowly coming in both on bottom. I have been nervous to give solids and dr said to continue puree… that was at his 9 month appt when he only had one tooth. Now he still only has one but another on bottom next to it slowly coming in. I am nervous … any suggestions… ?? Maybe chunkier puree ??
