Extremely painful period cramps//health concern

C

I’m 21 years old and ever since I’ve gotten my periods they have always been really heavy and painful. I physically can’t move and have to lay in bed all day. I’ve missed school and work because of it. I try taking medicine to help ease the pain but it still doesn’t help. Sometimes the pain is so bad that I throw up. I’ve always had irregular periods (some that last 5 days to 10 days). I’ve gone to the gyno and they said I have a cyst on my right ovary. They ruled out PCOS and possibly endometriosis. I’ve noticed recently that I have gained a lot of weight in a short amount of time. I’ve also noticed that recently on my blood work my testosterone levels were a bit high for a female. I feel like something is wrong or they are missing something but all they can tell me is there’s a cyst.

I was wondering if anyone has experienced what I am and if you have any more info on what’s going on and ways to help ease the pain. Is it possible all this is just from the cyst or could there be another reason? Should I have them do further tests for PCOS and endometriosis?

I’ve gotten multiple blood work done and everything is normal besides the higher than average testosterone. Also was low in vitiam D but got that resolved (not sure if this could be relevant).
