Not returning to the classroom in Oklahoma
As I've said before. Our superintendent is wanting us to teach the Bible and ten commandments in public school know. And for the idiots who can't understand why that's wrong to force something like this if you wouldn't want Muslim religion, or satanism, or paganism taught then stop being idiotic fucking hypocrites. Unless you are taking a class like world religions, religion has no place in a public school. As I've stated, send your kids to a Christian school if you want christian teachings. Well I found out our superintendent is saying any teachers who do not comply he's taking their teaching licence. Not being fired. Straight to completely taking away a license we worked so hard for. Again I don't think it's gonna stick. This is 100% gonna be a lawsuit but I have decided I'm not returning to the classroom in Oklahoma. As sad as that is and a few of my other teacher friends aren't either. It's one thing to force this on teachers. It's another to threaten our lively hood because you want christianity in public schools. One of my teacher friends is Muslim and she's quitting. How I see it, fine threaten us. I'll quit and walk out with my teaching licence. He'll just lose more teachers. In Tulsa Oklahoma they are doing a thing called retire to rehire where they are begging teachers to come out of retirement and they will still pay their retirement. That's how bad the teacher shortage is. Not to mention Tulsa is a blue city. Oklahoma may be a red state but tulsa is pretty blue. I don't have enough textbooks for my students. We don't have enough teachers. I have seen kids getting home as late as 7pm because we have barely any bus drives. And this is what our superintendent is worried about. It breaks my fucking heart.
@kim it's all over the media. Our superintendent has even talked to the news. He's so proud of himself 🙄
