My bf is 52 and I’m 27 and he has female friends that he talks to on social media and in person but doesn’t let me have male friends.

Since when is it ok for our SO’s to tell us who we can have as friends? You’re a grown ass adult. If you want to have platonic relationships with other people, you can and should, regardless of their gender. It’s not up to him. I would be concerned with the type of friendships he was with these female “friends”, if he tells you he doesn’t want you having male friends.
