Is it too soon to live together?

My boyfriend and I have been dating for a couple months but have been friends for 5 years.
We both got out of relationships but we just so happened to fall in love shortly after dating.
Here’s the kicker. 
We have talked about one day we’ll live together and when we’ll live together and well I just got my renewal for my lease that’s up in October.
Come October we will be together for 7 months… I told him how much my lease will be going up and deep down was hoping he would say move in with me when your lease is up… well he did not.
Instead he was just like wow that sucks and that’s a lot of money.
I said yea maybe I’ll just look for a different place to live and he didn’t say anything.
I’m so taken back and don’t know if I’m being to sensitive about it.

I think it’s early in my opinion. You don’t really know someone, even if you guys have been friends for 5 years. Being friends and being in a relationship are two completely different things. Sometimes, relationships tend to get worse after you move in with someone. Don’t rush into things either. Have you both even healed from the past? Are you both still stuck on your ex? 2 months is not enough time.

Yeah 2 months is far too early to be talking about moving in together, especially as you have both just gotten out of relationships. 7 months might be too early as well but could be a discussion for nearer the time.

Hinting and expecting a response from mind reading is never good in a relationship. 
It’s not about whether strangers on the internet think it’s too soon or not. It’s about what yall feel. It may be moving too fast and adding in too much commitment (a whole shared lease can be tricky) for him which is understandable. He may want it but is too scared to ask since you didn’t mention it when discussing your lease. 
Just have a conversation. Respect what he has to say.

I mean, I moved in with my husband after only knowing him for 3 months & as soon as we became exclusive. It worked out for us. Been living together the entirety of our 15 year relationship. But that was a mutual decision, it just happened naturally. We accidentally spent the night together once & decided we wanted to keep doing it. Lol a few months together is generally too soon to move in together but maybe just talk to him?

I mean it is early but only you and him can know whats right. My now husband moved in with me after like 2-3 months dating and we didn't know each other before. Been together over a decade now, always been happy and have an amazing life and family together. Biggest thing I'd say...and I say it whether you move in.after 2 months or 2 yrs...is to make sure you haveva back up plan incase it doesn't work out. Don't ever get yourself in a place where you are stuck in a place financially. Make sure you are able to separate and be ok if you need. As long as you don't trap yourself in a situation only you can say when it feels right. For me we met in early march and were living together by may the same year. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesn't, just makes sure you have an exit plan just incase.
