3 failed IUI’s, moving on to IVF

We’ve been ttc for over a year and a half and as of tonight, I now have 3 failed medicated IUI cycles. To say I’m heart broken is an understatement. The amount of energy put into these past 3 months of IUI doctors appointments, tests, medications, needles, feeling a sense of hope and then ultimately being heart broken for yet another month is killing me. We just want to be parents so bad. Our plan is to start IVF now but our doctor’s office still hasn’t given us a cost estimate yet. That being said, anyone who has gone through IVF, how much did it end up costing and was your first attempt successful? I am terrified to pay all that money to fail yet another procedure and not be able to afford a second round :( we have one chance at this.
