Suicide

So not too long ago I attempted suicide I won’t say the reason but at that moment I was dealing with a lot of stress, I was also crying out for help but in that moment I felt like I was just alone and didn’t have anyone. So I open up to my boyfriend about this incident and I’m currently in therapy for it. I was having a conversation with my boyfriend about someone and the topic came up. He said if someone was attempting to commit suicide he wouldn’t lend a helping hand because once they’ve reach that decision they already have their mind made up to do it and I explain to him that everyone go through different things and maybe that person is crying out for help so why would u not lend an helping hand? What do you guys think about this ?
