My daughters dad making this all public
My daughter's dad has recently started a TikTok talking about mental health and his disorders. He wants to bring light to mental disorders that people don't talk about. My daughters dad has histrionic personality disorder and kleptomania(impulsive stealing). Me and him get along ok and have a decent co-parenting relationship. I just don't really like him putting some of this online because I don't want our daughter getting bullied. I understand why it's important for people to understand that kleptomania is an impulse thing and some people don't even know HPD exits. But he will tell stories about things he's done to give a picture of what HPD can look like. For example, a huge system of it is extreme hypersexuality and he told a story about being coked out at a party and asking who wants their dick sucked. He also did a part talking about his kleptomania and how he copes but actually started showing the stuff he's stolen over the years. For example he showed the silverware he used to steal. He would steal silverware from his friends and families house. He stole silverware from my parents. His own mom locks away the good silverware. He said he isn't glorifying stealing but showing what kleptomania looks like. Again I understand the importance of talking about it but I just don't think we live in a world where it's normalized to talk about those type of disorders yet and I don't want our daughter getting bullied because of her dad's mental disorders. She's already showing signs of HPD and I don't want people lumping her in with her dad. She finds his TikToks funny but I don't think she or he understands the long term effects of what he's doing
