Child is too advanced to need help
I'm really struggling parenting my oldest he's five. He's so much joy and love. He's creative so intelligent and a social butterfly.
Our pediatrician always says he's so advanced and nothing to worry about. He is very articulate and sensitive. He seems to think he's just stubborn.
As parents we see bigger issues. Like being kicked out of camp for not listening and running out doors. He cannot be potty trained at night and it's more then just wetting the bed he has full on bowl movements soaking through pullups sposie pands pajamas every night. We cannot take him places because he has impulse control issues. If he isn't controlling a situation he just won't do it. He will come home from preschool or sports and have absolute melt downs that can go on for hours. We had to pull him from sports he likes because he arguing with the volunteers and it ruins the experience for other kids and he will have meltdowns the entire time.
He is starting kindergarten this year and I'm worried about busing and about a classroom with more kids.
As a mom I'm super hands on we do a ton to engage him and it shows because he is truly brilliant when it comes to learning. He is so inquisitive. My background is in child development and I know something isn't right. Our second is more successful in church, camps, sports, groups, and baby sitters.
As a mom I'm really burned out I have to be on the go continuously and even when there is a sitter or preschool I have to be ready on a moments notice to get him. Today he was kicked out of camp the camp is only two hours three days and they can't handle him. I'm really feeling burned out as a mom.
His pediatrician always says he's fine and just stubborn this is more then stubborn to me idk.
I'm looking for some advice.
