I’m due September 4th but joined this group because of my previous csections, they will not let me go past 37 weeks making me due to have baby in august.

Well, plans have changed again. I’ve been diagnosed with low lying placenta/placenta previa, placenta percreta(which is the most severe form of placenta accreta), and vasa previa. So we will be having baby girl tomorrow July 26th at 34+2. My placenta has completely grown through my uterus on the right side. They can’t tell if it’s invaded any surrounding organs but he said it’s possible I might have some damage to my bladder during surgery.

I will be having a scheduled C-section hysterectomy. The MFM said they will have to cut me vertically and normally that’s done belly button down, but mine will have to be pretty high on my belly, all the way down to my horizontal C-section scar because of where my placenta is located. 🥺 I will have to be in the main OR and possibly have multiple blood transfusions. He said there’s about a 50% chance of me waking up in ICU.

Had my first round of steriods for baby girls lungs yesterday and will have the second dose today. I’m expecting a call from ansesthesia today but the surgeons I met with yesterday said I will likely be put under for the whole surgery.

Definitely nervous and just hope her and I both come out of this with as little damage as possible.
