Bleeding after period a day ago

I am not sure if I should be concerned or not, but my period just recently ended about a day ago. No blood and straight discharge after it ended on schedule. I had sex today and all of sudden I started bleeding again. Bleeding enough that I need a panty liner and bright red when I wipe. Has this ever happened to anyone before?
