Femara
I’m going on 34 months of ttc. After the first year of trying I stopped spending money on LH- ovulation strips and just went based off feeling, the app, and once in a while an ovulation test. We went to a doc 3 months ago. She proscribed letrozole (femara) for 2 cycles. First at 2.5 mg, And second at 5mg. I tracked for both my medicated cycles and asked if we could get another round of letrozole, the trigger shot or if the doc wanted to try something else. She wrote back saying it normally takes couples 8 months to get pregnant and to come back in 6 months and go without femara and see if it jumpstarted my ovulation. We asked for a referral to an infertility clinic a couple city’s away because it’s been longer then 8 month. She sent it and hopefully will get an appointment scheduled.
I feel like she didn’t hear us and or forgot we’ve been trying for so long. We are 23,20 and it doesn’t seem like she wanted to help. She didn’t bring up clomid or femara options to begin with. I did. She didn’t offer for a referral, I asked. She wanted to put me on birth control for 6 months. (In My family we don’t use bc). Will the specialist be the same way and just offer birth control? They are about 4 hours from us and it’s going to be expensive. I don’t want their help if they won’t listen.
Where do we go from here? Is it <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">iui</a> and <a href="https://glowing.com/glow-fertility-program">ivf</a> left? What should we expect?
