'Job hopping' help
Im applying for jobs (mid/upper level professional) after only having been at my current job for about 3 months. After starting the job, I almost immediately started noticing red flags. Example the current CEO has been in place 11 years but the most seniored employee has only been there 2 years. Someone quit right after I was hired. It's a small organization but most of the 'staff' listed on their website are actually interns who work 5-10 hrs a week or are no longer there. Im starting to understand why they cant keep people (poor management and the CEO can be highly condescending). I was at my previous job for several years so this is unlike me, Im hoping new employers will see that and give me a chance to interview. My question is that all of the career counseling info says to never throw your current employer under the bus during the interview, focus on positives/goals only. Which normally I do, but Im guessing they will (rightfully) want an explanation why Im looking after just 3 months, which warrants more than a 'Im looking for a place to grow professionally' type of answer. Im not sure how to answer the question without looking tacky that Im badmouthing my employer. Thoughts?
