Normal to lose sexual attraction to your spouse?

Would you say that it’s normal/common for you to lose sexual attraction to your husband five years into marriage? It’s been a gradual shift for two years now, and I don’t even think about wanting sex with him.

Not normal, i am not married but i have been with my partner for 10 years and he genuinly couldnt fancy him anymore!! My previous.relationship of 5 years though got to this stage so maybe its just finding the one? Just my opinion xx

Yes but only because he was a narcissist and wore me down completely as a person to the point I felt worthless and sex was the last thing on my mind. In a healthy relationship and I can’t get enough of him 🥰
Is there more to this story though? Mental health? Life? Stuck in a rut? Do you need to focus on reconnecting and dating each other again? x

I don’t think it should be considered normal in a healthy marriage, but I would say it is probably common for a lot of marriages. If I felt I was losing sexual attraction for my husband, I would try to work on igniting that flame again. Sexual intimacy is an important part of a healthy marriage, imo.
