My youngest just turned 3 months old yesterday. He caught covid from me. I’ve been very sick since Tuesday night. My other three children hardly have any symptoms.

My infant has a fever that’s staying around 101.5, he has a dry cough that progressing to a bark sounding cough, and doesn’t feel good at all. Thankfully, he’s pretty much staying at my breast so he’s very hydrated. He sleeping a ton.

I called his doctor this morning and they told me to watch for breathing distress but they wouldn’t be able to see him and I would need to take him to the ER if I wanted him seen. I’m debating if I should take him to our local children’s hospital just because of how bad he feels and how young he is. I’m so nervous something will happen while we’re sleeping.

I’ve been using a humidifier, rubbing baby safe breathe easy cream on his feet, using saline, and constantly keeping at the breast.

Have any of you had an infant with covid? None of my children were ever sick at this age 😖
