For my birthday, my husband asks what I want. I tell him the gift I want, what cake I want, where I want to eat, etc. Down to putting the gift in the Amazon cart. Im fine with it. What frustrates me is he doesn't give me any guidance about his when I ask. No suggestions or specifics. But without fail, he gets upset every birthday that what the kids and I do isnt right. We dont get him the right gifts, dont care enough, etc. We decorate. We make a cake he likes. We go out to dinner. We write in cards how much we love him. We buy gifts. We sing happy birthday. But every year, he says the day is a disappointment. I dont know what else to do.
