Implantation?

I'm about 8/9 dpo and noticed this today. I haven't had sex so it's not from that. Could this be implantation spotting? I've been pregnant before and have never experienced it. So it's new to me. Any positive stories? Period is still a week away also. I do have tender boobs and a few cramps.
