My mom has never liked my husband. She just wanted me to marry someone with a good job and ambitions. My husband doesn't really know what he wants to do with his life. He works the before and after school program at an elementary school through the YMCA and then works through the actual school as a para during school hours. The YMCA pays him 10 an hour and the school pays him 12.50 an hour. So he's usually working 11 and a half hours days because he arrives to the school at 6:30am to set up for the before school program. Works during the school day and stays until 6pm for the after school program. So he works a lot but doesn't bring in a whole lot of money. But he's happy and that is what matters. We've talked and he doesn't know what he wants to do with his life. He thought about actually becoming a special ed teacher but he doesn't know. My Mom just thinks he's a loser.

We've already had some arguments over our wedding. My husband is very shy and wanted a small wedding. He actually preferred court house but decided to have a wedding for me. My mom kept saying how I'm her only daughter and it's her dream to throw me a big wedding. She kind of took over our wedding and I was just trying to keep her happy. I didn't find this out until our wedding day but my mom messed up the catering. My husband is vegan and there were supposed to be vegan options and there wasn't. So there wasn't anything my husband could eat and my mom said he can eat he's just choosing not to and he won't die from eating non vegan food. My husband was already irritated with the wedding. He couldn't eat. It was too big and caused him anxiety. And then during the wedding speech my mom gave was terrible. She made it clear she didn't like him but said it's about whatever makes me happy. She also throws out how my husband never asked my father for his blessing. Then she said about how I called to tell her we were engaged. I called from his phone since mine was dead so she thought it was him and my mom made this tasteless joke saying she was hoping he was calling to ask her to proof read his suicide note but oh well. People laughed and I only nervously laughed because I didn't know what to do but my husband got up and completely left. I chased after him but he left the entire wedding. When I got a hold of him he was upset that I just sat there and let her keep talking and even laughed at her terrible joke when it's known that he tried to take his life before. I told him it was a nervous laugh and I'm sorry. We are on our honeymoon and it isn't how I dreamed. It's just been tension.... My wedding was ruined and now I feel my honeymoon is ruined
