I almost never thought I’d be able to say this, but I managed to get my baby to latch after exclusively pumping with a STRONG bottle preference! Like he would scream and tense up if my nipple was anywhere near his mouth. Now I’m just working on lowering my supply so I won’t have to pump for relief anymore. He’s still picky and needs a nipple shield to start probably half the time and will only do it side-lying (and I have to sing his favorite song lol) but we're just 3 days in so I'm not worried about it. I'm so happy and it feels so freeing to not be tied to a pump all the time. I feel like I can actually focus on my baby now!
