Hey all, so I’ve been having contractions on and off since Thursday morning, have a midwife appointment that day and was checked then sent to birth suite in my hospital to be monitored.

They picked up on contractions there, but no signs of active labour. Advised that if I did go there they weren’t going to stop it (I was just shy of 37 weeks at that point). I had my cervix and all checked but it was closed and no dilation.

Since that day I’ve just had intense contractions that come at random that can last for hours, but can space few and far between. I’m so exhausted from the pain and discomfort this has kept me in whilst trying to look after my 5 year old by myself (recently become a single parent again, first born is a different dad. And this baby’s father decided to leave due to issues).

I have a growth scan later today to see what his measurements are like, but I’m not sure what to expect as last scan we did baby measured weeks ahead of where I was gestation wise.

I’ve been tracking my blood pressure as well overnight each time I’ve woken up my last reading at home was 119/69. But I’ve had this persistent headache I can’t shake, feel sluggish. My body is just heavy to try and move. I don’t see my midwife again till next week.

Has anyone felt like this before or anything I can do or something I can talk to a doctor about because I’m really struggling getting through the day and feel like I cannot do this for much longer.
