Just a giddy little rant. I’d love to hear stories about the first time your SO said they loved you (fr)

My boyfriend and i declared it official about a month ago but have seeing each other for about 9 months, living mid distance away. The happiest, most chill drama and toxicity free relationship i’ve had so far. I really like his family, he just met mine for the first time and he was so comfortable and charming with them.

On the way to a family get together, we were just chitchatting during the drive - i think we were talking about languages (he’s learning Spanish, i come from a Spanish speaking family but am not as fluent as my parents). And the conversation goes:

BF: How would you say “I’m pregnant”?

Me: Estoy embarazada

BF: But like “pregnant with” - bc your mom said something like “when i was pregnant of her.”

Me: I think “embarazada con ella”

BF: It wouldn’t be “de”? Like in love with? Like estoy enamorado de ti

Me: Yeah i guess you’re right

He looked it up, he was right lol. It didn’t hit me until later and it made me laugh that technically he said it. Later that evening we were watching a stupid low quality Tubi/Freevee drama. The main characters were mid dramatic over the top sex scene, so i gasped sarcastically and said “😱they’re m- being naughty!”

He finished my “m” and said “they’re making love!!🫵”

It might’ve been obvious that the word made me nervous, and he wanted to ease it.

Whatever the case, i think i’m falling, im too nervous to say it, and im over analyzing everything hoping he’s on the same page. I’m over thinking, but not in a worried way, in a i have a crush on him way, it’s pleasant.

But id love to hear experiences of first i love yous if you’re willing to share💕
