Tested negative but still late!

So I was a day late, and I took a test. It was the middle of the day and I drank quite a bit of water and lemonade before I took the test. I also peed an hour before the test. It was the Walgreens first response test and I saw bad reviews on it. My husband and I are trying for a baby so it’s not like an unlikely thing if we are pregnant. I’m now 2 days late and I’m worried to waste time and money and take another test? What do you think? Is that Walgreens test known to be accurate?
