My birthday is in two weeks and I told my boyfriend I want to go to a concert. We would have to go out of state for this concert and be gone about 3 days. He said he wants to go but he has to find someone to watch his dog. That's hard because his dog doesn't like people. He gets scared of strangers. He doesn't bite but he will bark at strangers. I told him to just put his dog in his garage and leave him with enough food for 3 days. He said he's not doing that. My boyfriend is the type of person who believes his dog is his child. I grew up with pets and dogs and if we were gonna be gone for a while my parents put the dogs in the garage. Left them with plenty of food. And when they got home just cleaned up the poo and stuff in the garage. Our dogs all lived happy lives. So I know his will be fine. I feel like he's putting his dog before me and it's weird. Is this a red flag or am I wrong?
