Can I sue for medical bills that aren’t correct?

I’ve been going back and forth with my insurance and provider and the insurance is saying I had another insurance at the time and I didn’t. I have spoken to several people regarding the insurance claims and no one can figure it out. I have now received a several thousand dollar bill because the insurance claims have not been processed correctly since January. Can I sue for these medical bills?

Have you called the insurance they are saying is your primary and talked to them? If they have no record of you being a client they should be able to call or give you a written statement that you have never been under their coverage.

You cant sue someone for sending you a bill, you can dispute it of course though. Ive unfortunately gone around in circles with insurance. You may need to submit a formal letter.

Who are they saying your secondary medical insurance is? If they cannot even tell you that I don't see how they even have a case. Also, if they do have the so called second provider they could have called that company themselves to verify coverage. To which they would have said it doesn't exist and they should have carried on per usual. This should not be this stressful. Sorry that you're going through this.

Your provider can't do anything for this. You need to call your insurance company and speak with someone in the coordination of benefits department to get this resolved.
