Was sex terrible for women in history?
I know we have come a long way with women's rights, but apart from the sexist stigma of women hating sex, historically way back during Bible time, families lived in the same one room house. I cannot imagine that being sexy. There was no lube. I imagine no privacy. Even up to the 50's it had to suck, I heard vaguely from my grandpa that my grandma didn't enjoy sex very much, and he has a very sexist view on a woman's sex drive versus a man's. But I wasn't about to say."grandpa you have no clue, my husband has to keep me off him!" Did sex suck for women more so in past times? I know when I try to cut my carbs, I have zero sex drive, therefore I imagine Famine and the lack of food security that we tend to have more of now, can affect a woman's physical ability to have sex. What do you think?
