intrauterine gestation Yolk sac is visualized no Fetal pole identified
Im lost. My last menstrual cycle was 6/15 took a test on 7/17. So doctor said i am as of 8/17 9 weeks. I have been having a little bit of cramping on the right side and my lower back has been hurting since 8/16. Saturday i went to the restroom and had brown discharge. Went to the ER and they said after all my tests came back good this is what they found with the ultrasounds. Impression
1. Intrauterine gestational sac is identified. No fetal pole is
noted at this time. Findings could be related to very early IUP
but follow-up is recommended to ensure normal development of
pregnancy.
2. Left ovary is not visualized. Right ovary is normal in size.
NOTE: Permanent recorded sonographic images were taken.
Narrative
CLINICAL DATA: Abdominal cramping affecting pregnancy. Vaginal
discharge.
COMPARISON: None
TECHNIQUE: Multiple sonographic images of the pelvis were
obtained for evaluation of pregnancy. Transabdominal and
transvaginal transducers were used for image acquisition.
FINDINGS: Uterus measures 10.3 x 7.7 x 8 cm. There is an
intrauterine gestation. Yolk sac is visualized. Fetal pole is
difficult identified. Mean gestational sac diameter 1.01 cm
corresponding to 5 week 5 day gestation. No evidence of
hemorrhage around the gestational sac. Cervix shows trace amount
of fluid. Nabothian cysts noted.
Right ovary is visualized only transabdominally. It measures 2.9
x 1.2 x 1.3 cm. Vascular flow demonstrated by Doppler imaging.
Left ovary is not visualized.
