Endometrial lining shedding?

I started birth control a few weeks ago and my period still came early by about 5 days. I also have had a few of these “clots” pass today, although they are much more tough than clots I’ve had in the past. Anyone with endometriosis have this happen to them? Is it anything to be concerned about? I don’t think it’s a clot or that I’m miscarrying but I’m at a loss as to what this could be other than endometrial lining (decidual cast?)
