Am I going insane?

Question

We're not actively TTC. We use natural birth control (I track my cycles) and we accidentally had unprotected sex the morning before a peak test (I ovulated 4 days early). I'm 8dpo now (almost 9dpo) and I keep smelling a foul smell. I've checked everywhere, gone through everything. There's nothing to explain it and my partner can't smell it. He keeps joking I'm pregnant. Is this a possibility or do I need to go to the GP? 😩
(I don't mean the smell is from me, it's from something around me. I've checked and cleaned everything and there's nothing to create this smell, even smelt myself and it's not me! It smells like sickly sweet)

Just do a pregnancy test and you’ll find out. When I started being more sensitive to smells I was 8 DPO as.well. A faint line appeared inmediately

Yeah smelling stronger is a pregnancy thing. But I think you first need to do a test these day’s you can do them early. And yeah this can happen when you do natural birth control that is how my younger brother is born 😅 my dad told always honestly we stop ✋ for children after me, but we had one moment that I wasn’t thinking and let myself go ( later we knew what he ment 😂) but yeah it’s possible. But it have to be that perfect timing, but if you had sex in that fertile window 3 day’s before until the ovulation their is a good chance that you can be early pregnant. It also can be that you are so scared for this that you get that stronger smell 👃. If this is the case and you are pregnant you always can decide what to do. Your boyfriend sound nice and honestly if a men jokes this much and have unprotected sex knowing you are ovulating maybe 🤔 he wants it…. But that isn’t my place. I only want to show you if it is true the world don’t stop ✋ but first testing. And every pregnancy is different so with my first two I smelled strong right away, now I have a closed nose 👃 but I still smell strong that is now starting to come in the six week. So trust your body and own instinct we all just give advice. Good luck 😉

Just in regards to the smell 🤣 - I normally have a heightened sense of smell and sometimes smells will linger in my nose, so only I can smell it (my mom is like that too), especially any kind of smoke. That stuff lingers in my hair. Generally, I try and chase it out with another smell. Or if it’s in the house I try air out my house AND chase it out with another smell. When I was pregnant my sense of smell launched into super human territory and for a while it was the most miserable time. If it’s sickly sweet it might be some sort of rotting. Also maybe some sort of urine like cat urine, which I find can be pungent but in a weird, sickly sweet way.

While you could conceive this cycle, a foul smell is not a sign of pregnancy.

Foul smell has nothing to do with pregnancy. He probably threw your pH off.
