I’m 36 weeks pregnant and have a 2 year old, I’m so tired 😅 but they’re my biggest blessings. My husband and I moved to a new house with a legal basement apartment and we signed a lease that starts this Sunday, but this past week there was a huge storm and everyone got flooded, so we had to rip out the bottom half of the walls to replace them, re-paint, etc.

My in laws are always telling us to ask them to help if we need help so my husband took them up on it and asked if they’d be willing to come Saturday to help. They said they had plans to go to their summer house with both of their moms (husbands grandmas) and asked if they could bring them to our house Saturday.

When they’re all here I have to host them (4 adults) plus take care of my son and myself 😅 I’m basically just making it through the day without the added work of cooking, cleaning, etc. and I really need the weekends to finish the nursery, meal prep, etc.

I wish my FIL could just come by himself but none of the women in the family drive so if he leaves they have nothing to do all weekend.

I suggested to my husband that we just hire someone to finish the work for us, it would be about $1,000. The tenant will pay $1,750/month so we’d recover that within the month. He just doesn’t like spending $ when he can DIY it.. but it’s turning into a big hassle! He’s been working on it until midnight the whole past week 😰
