I don’t really understand the “virginity is a made up thing” concept, cause to me it’s literally just a word that describes whether someone has or hasn’t had sex and is applied to men too. The whole “purity” ideal and basing self worth of it is made up nonsense but virginity itself is just if you’ve had actual sexual intercourse or not (with gentitals penetrating, not just foreplay).

I feel like it’s way to make people feel bad how soon or late they “lose if” or how they lose it, where they lost it, who they lost it too, and marital vs premarital. It’s such a messed up social concept because what if you were abused as a kid or sexual assaulted? Does it still count? I wouldn’t dwell on it
