Irregular yolk sac? UPDATE
I had my follow up ultrasound today. I'm 7 weeks 4 days the baby actually grew an extra day. My last ultrasound was at 5 weeks 5 days and we saw the heartbeat. Today we saw another beautiful heartbeat of 139 beats per minute. I looked at my patient portal because my ob appointment isn't until the morning and the tech hasn't told me how far along I was. I wanted to make sure I was where I was. As I was reading the radiology report it noted the yolk sac is slightly irregular. I kinda remember that being a thing in my last pregnancy and my doctor not being slightly concerned. A quick Google search told me that it's fine as long as it's not over 6 mm and it's measuring 4 mm. Has anyone had a slightly irregular yolk sac and what was your outcome? After my history of mmc's and a stillborn with no live births I can't help but feel terrified!
Update:
Ob reassured that everything is fine and it is completely normal. I guess if it's not perfectly round it's noted as irregular. She said it's going to be gone soon anyways. It's only a potential problem if it's larger than 6 mm. She also said it looks like we're having a healthy pregnancy so far!! ❤️
