First IUI, Nervous & Excited

Aly • TTC#1 👫🏻🐕🐕🐕

We had our first IUI on Sunday. It was way easier than I expected, with no pain or discomfort. The worst part of the whole thing was that I had to have a full bladder and good grief did I need to pee!

I’m 38, with a possible case of Adenomyosis, that’s what my RE suspects has been the issue. We’ve been trying nearly 3 years (Oct will be 3) and zero success. I’m so, so hopeful that it’s going to take within the first 3 IUIs!

Leading up, I took Clomid for five days, and then went in for an US three days after that. We weren’t where we needed to be, so went back on Friday and then used the trigger shot that night. IUI was on Sunday!

I had at least three good follicles, one was at 19 and the other was over 16. The other one was on the other side and slightly lower, can’t remember the exacts.

He had 100 million good swimmers that they used after the wash, which the doctor said was a terrific number.

Now here’s to hoping that my body cooperates. I’m on Progesterone and Estrace suppositories until after the 9th. My test at the office is slated for the 6th, but I’ll probably still test on Wednesday or Thursday next week on my own.

Crossing my fingers! ❤️
