So me and my best friend have been friends since we were kids! She moved away to a town in South Carolina around the time we were in college and after graduating she asked me to move there. I liked the idea but I wasn’t too excited to move to that state for a few reasons. So I continued to work and date in Minnesota and I met a guy and we dated for about 5 years before he got a job offer in a Colorado. We were going to do long distance but he ended up proposing and we talked more and decided that I will move to the new city with him to start our lives.

My best friend loves my relationship with my fiancé and thinks we are made for each other and has said how happy she is that I’m getting out of our hometown….but ever since we told her about the move and even after the move she has said on many occasions how I moved to a new state with a guy but wouldn’t move to a new state with her. She’s said it many times as a joke and sometimes it seems very serious and I didn’t think much of it until it started to get on my nerves a bit.

So I’m unsure if I should say anything about how it makes me feel. If she does feel that way, I think her feelings are valid for sure. However, it is something where I’m like am I really in the wrong?

It makes me feel like she thinks I chose him over her…
