Just curious what the majority is. Feel free to praise, vent, or just share a story about your MIL.

Mine is just there. Like she’s not awful or anything, but we are not the closest. I want to say it’s partially because she has 2 kids of her own that are the same age as mine and her oldest son’s kids. She’s older & stressed

I am polyamorous and I’ve been with my 3 partners for 15 years. I am very close to two of my MILs. They are amazing. They became the mother I never had. I’ve never met my 3rd partner’s mother because he’s in a different country and I’ve never wanted to meet his parents. 
My MILs are very patient and understanding of my childhood trauma. I never had my hair braided until I met them when I was 20. They are so kind and loving. We see them weekly and I enjoy them.
