Is my husband a misogynist?
My husband is in therapy to work on himself and he's trauma. He was abused by his mom and also sexually abused by his babysitter. He decided last week he was gonna switch therapist and he wanted to see a man. He had been working with a woman for a couple months and didn't feel like they were a good fit. I was talking to my caseworker about this and she said she thinks a man would be better fit for him. I asked her why she thinks that. She's met and talked to my husband several times and said also based on everything I've said about him she definitely thinks he's a good guy but with his past trauma she thinks my husband has some internal biases towards women that he doesn't realize and she feels he may actually listen to another man better allowing him to work through his trauma better. I guess I'm wondering if she's saying my husband is a misogynist. Because we have a daughter and a son. My husband doesn't treat any of us badly but the last thing I want is my kids to be taught misogyny.
