4 minutes naps?!
I’m a second time mom and I didn’t thought I’ll be in such a trouble.
My 6 weeks old was a good sleeper the entire first month. But it’s a week already that something has broken. He stopped napping. 4 minutes in his crib or wherever else (including my chest) and he’s screaming.
I follow the rules for going to sleep, I tried dark room, dim lit room, noisy surroundings, quiet surroundings, swaddling and not, but to no result. The little one is eager to sleep, I can see that. But he just keeps waking up. He even falls asleep on his own, but then again he wakes up and cries…and cries.. Not a reflux, not gases, not soiled diaper, any rushes, like nothing of thar sort. Where he slept for 40 mins - 2 hours, he now cries lungs out.
He can nap being held for like 20 minutes in best case. But he will wake up screaming and basically he will scream until the next “nap” and so on till the evening. He sleeps at night (with waking up for feeding about three times) for around 7 hours.
He falls asleep during feedings, but I wake up him, because i do not have a luxury to feed home for hours.
My oldest has at least slept for some 40 minutes at his daytime naps on my chest, thus having both physical and mental development time.
