Should school dictate what snacks kids bring?
I am bringing back a topic that I felt was thought provoking and it did bring about a lot of conversation. The original post got removed due to the person putting up anonymously.
She had mentioned that the school had strict regulations on the type of snacks her child could bring. The snack needed to be “healthy” such as fruit, yogurt, cheese sticks, and pretzels. She sent her son with a bag of Doritos and the child’s teacher made a comment that he should not bring that snack again as it’s not considered healthy.
The original poster wanted to know how others felt about this, if it’s okay for a teacher to tell a child that their food is unhealthy.
