16 months of trying and I finally got a positive!
I had zero issues getting pregnant with my first child, happened on the first try. This second child we have been trying for 16 months and never got a positive. I was diagnosed with pcos and was not ovulating but going through the hormone changes so my obgyn referred me to a fertility clinic who gave me letrozole 5mg for 5 days of my cycle (the half dose didn't work). I was frustrated when this didn't work after 3 cycles. I had one last refill or so I thought. The pharmacy filled the rest of the rx like I asked and I realized there was an extra cycle dose so I decided to take the letrozole for 6 days instead of the 5 and see if that helps the egg get released. I also took mucinex for two weeks starting on the day I got the LH surge. The day I missed my period I had a positive preg test. I literally had to double check and make sure it wasn't a ovulation test. I'm so excited and hope it stays and hope someone out there reads this and tries my tips. I also take lots of vitamins for my pcos and general health. I looked for research articles and thats how I decided what to take and how much, I take 4g vit D, 1mg folic acid, 3g NAC, 2g L-carnitine, two extra strength omega 3-6-9, 500mg berberine am and pm, cinnamon caps with each meal, krill oil (forget dose), vit e (forget dose), 2 vit C gummies, 2 magnesium gummies, 2 multivitamins, and 3 CoQ10 gummies. I take some in morning and some in evening. I experience work stress and anxiety and have switched from sertraline to ashwagandha now.
