Was I wrong to say something?
Hey everyone! It’s the start of the new semester and college football has kicked off. I like attending games for the social aspect. However, I hate getting hit with all the random stuff people throw. There are beer containers that always fly across the crowd and I’ve been hit by a few in the past with beer still in them.
So, yesterday, I saw someone throwing beer containers in front of me and I went to say something. I told them they needed to quit throwing stuff at their team and I had kids I sub for that know better. My husband then felt like he had to jump in and defend me. (We are both in college, 22 and 24 yrs old).
He was then mad the rest of the day that I had started a fight and he had to get involved. I saw it as simply asking someone to stop an inappropriate behavior. I had friends I knew that were in the crowd where the 18 year old was throwing stuff.
So, should I have ignored it as simply regular football game antics, or was I right to say something?
