2+ month period, considering a hysterectomy.
I’m 29 years old and my periods have always been debilitating. Since the age of 12 I’ve been dealing with this. I was diagnosed with PCOS at the age of about 16 or 17, I lost about 100 lbs a few years ago and my periods were somewhat normal (still very painful) but it has been on for almost 2 months now (July 19th start date) with no end in sight. I was recently “re diagnosed” with PCOS after I had another doctor look me clean in my eyes and said that I wasn’t. I’m so depressed and I feel maniac. Birth control never works, I’m trying to eat right and take my vitamins but I just feel worse by the day. I’ve seen about 7 doctors and they all suggest the same thing that has never worked for the past 10+ years: birth control. It makes me feel like I am having an out of body experience in the worse way possible. I know a hysterectomy won’t fix my hormones, but at least I won’t have to deal with the bleeding anymore. I just need some advice, kind words, your experience if you’ve had a hysterectomy, or anything. I’m so sad and I feel like the doctors aren’t helping me whatsoever.
