Smiley face but not ovulation ?

hello is it possible to get a static :-) on a clear blue advanced ovulation test but not actually ovulate? I’ve got a static :-) but I haven’t had any cervical mucus to show I’m ovulating but I haven’t really put my fingers in there… so yeah, can you get a static face but no obvious relation or does that mean you’re actually going to ovulate?

Cm doesn't mean ovulation. Ewcm/fertile cm is just the cm that sperm can last in the longest and isn't necessary for conceiving. Your opks will be more accurate than symptoms.

I would recommend for future cycles to also use LH strips with the digital.  Usually, if I get a solid smiley l, I test a 2nd digital and the confirm with LH strips. Generally, the digital is accurate but we know technology is not perfect. Did you look at the disposed stick after you ejected it? Was the test line as dark or darker than the control line? Look at the photos I attached for reference. You will notice with the smiley the LEFT line (test) is darker while on the blank face the RIGHT line (control) is darker.  That can help you decide if you had your LH spike. Best of luck!!

CM can be an indicator of ovulation, but it really doesn’t mean much. You want to test your Basel temperature and use ovulation tests to make sure you are noticing a peak for ovulation. I’d not, the doctor can help you determine if you are ovulating.
