Help!! I’m confused (drown discharge)

Hi!! My husband and I have been trying for baby number two! With this being said in the month of August, I had a two week long “period” where the first week was VERY LIGHT brown discharge then into my normal red blood Period. I do use period cups so I saw the amount that was in there when I would leave it in for a long time. This month on the 15th the brown discharge started again on the day I was supposed to get my actual period. I will include a picture of what I pulled out of my cup after being in for 24 hours. I have never had this brown discharge for a week before my period. So I’m so confused as to what it is. Has this happened to anyone else or is it normal?? HELP!!
