36 weeks // discharge or part of mucus plug?

Question

I usually get this shiny stuff on my toilet paper whenever I wipe but this time, it was more than normal. I would think that it was discharge but I don’t ever have any in my underwear. It only happens when I wipe after peeing. Baby definitely felt more engaged yesterday than normal. The waddle was REAL! Do you think this could be my mucus plug coming out little by little?

For me personally, when my mucus plug started coming out with my first, it looked and felt like a jelly fish lost a fight with a blender 💀 and it did. Not. Stop. I was actually concerned about the amount, like sat there thinking “where is all of this even coming from??”, and then the contractions really kicked in, and it all made sense 😂

Literally have been having this all week (35+6), looks similar to the discharge I’ve been having which is an indication that the mucus plug is about to come out soon. My dr confirmed it today, & also said that I was 50% effaced & 1cm dilated. Contact your dr just to make sure though, you can never be too careful.

Just normal discharge. You can also loose little bits of mucus plug.
