South and North Carolina racist?

Does anyone know if South and North Carolina is racially diverse? Or a more racist state? I ask because I’m white but my husband is black and we have 3 kids together. We are looking to move out of NY. I know every state has racism but some states have more than others.

I have family in North Carolina and we’re Latino. There is racism but my family has encountered that more in the country cities than major cities like Charlotte, Durham and Raleigh. But some folks are still set in their old ways. I have considered to move there my self I’m in CA.

It depends on the city, but literally anywhere can be racist

Just like with any place, it will depend. There are some parts that are still very segregated and backwards. There will also always be people that are gross racists anywhere. My family has had a very good experience luckily (also a biracial family.)
