Im 27. My boyfriend is 34. He told my last night because we are starting to get really serious that he has a biological child. He just didn't want us to have secrets. I asked why he never told me and he said because he hasn't ever met the kid and never planned to. Trigger warning for pedophilia but when he was 12 his was sa by a baby sitter and she got pregnant. She went to prison and her rights were terminated and my boyfriends mom made the decision that he does not need to be a father and she had the baby put up for adoption. I asked did he ever try to find them when he turned 18 and he said no and that he never plans to. It's something that's on his mind sometimes and he gets the what ifs but for the most part he thinks it's best for everyone this way. I mean best for everyone or just him. If I was the child I would want to know my biological dad. I'm not saying his mom made a wrong choice. I just don't understand why he wouldn't want to find his flesh and blood and see if they want a relationship.
