My daughter’s teacher sent home a scary themed book for my 5 year old to read… I don’t read these books to my daughter because if she sees or watches anything scary, she wakes up in the middle of the night scared. Basically it gives her scary dream and it takes awhile for her to settle back to bed. I sent a polite note asking that she does not read any scary themed books and that the teacher should please not send scary, witchy, Halloween themed, etc books home for her to read. And plus we do not feed our mind with books or movies like that due to our religion. Guess what the teacher did? She asked my daughter to read the scary book to her(the teacher) in class. Now guess who stayed up until very late last night because of it? You guessed right. Do I speak to the teacher about this on Monday? What would you do if you were in my shoes?
