I’m currently 36 and have had two healthy pregnancies: 7yo son and 4yo daughter. My husband and I thought we’d give it a shot for baby #3 recently and so I had my IUD removed on 9/30/24. I have been bleeding, pretty sure menstrating, since the removal date. Lots of blood clots and heavy bleeding, today will be day 8 and I am soooooo over it.

When will anything remotely close to a “normal” cycle happen so I can track ovulation?

I had my IUD for three years, non-hormonal, and loved it since I never had a period. Before that, my periods were irregular and very heavy. Again, this will be day 8 for heavy, bright red bleeding with clotting.

Anyone else have this experience after IUD removal? How long did it take you to have a regular cycle?
