Arm Implant

I am 18, I do not have a boyfriend but have a couple of guys I sleep with regularly. I am very careful and make them use a condom always but want to get a more reliable source of BC. I am planning on getting the Implanon implanted in my arm but have heard horror stories about it. What do I do?! I'm getting really nervous about getting it but my appointment is tomorrow!!
