So my son is 9m old and he does not eat any solids not because we haven’t tried he chokes on them I’m talking blue and purple face can breath calling 911 choking. He had to go get some test done they think he has a bad gag reflex or texture aversion. So I asked since the food therapist can’t see us until Jan 22 (Well after he’s 1) what am I supposed to do keep giving him formula after his 1st birthday? No she said just keep trying to feed him solids 3 meals a day and 2 snacks…. I looked at her like she lost her mind what do you mean you want me to feed him even tho he keeps choking on everything except a bottle… I don’t wanna risk my baby choking AGAIN!!! Especially when I am home alone with my kids what if I can’t get it out in time? What if I can’t stop him from choking? She said then call 911… I’m sorry what??? Am I crazy? I mean this kid chokes on purees and you want me to feed him eggs and pasta????

I need help am I crazy or is my doctor right and just keep giving him solids and hope for the best?
