Ending things never started?

In talking/dating this guy great conversations great persona (a dream ) but when things started getting sexual i wanted take my time (so we never did anything more than touching)

So he works a lot -I understand but i also want to talk to him and see him so i feel like he doesn’t want to talk anymore but i asked him and he says its not that that he is just working alot.

But i don’t like this feeling -should i give up? If so what do i tell him via text
